Bible doctrine is important to the believer because it keeps us on a solid foundation. We need doctrine, even if at times it is boring. Boring but Necessary Doctrine is not intended to cover a detailed systematic theology. It is my hope and prayer that by focusing on a few simple and basic truths it will encourage readers to move from the shallow waters into the deep. The doctrines of the Church are of great value; they should be taught time and time again and learned throughout our journey as Christ-followers. Sound doctrine gives us a firm foundation of faith, so that when deceptive forces approach the believer with flawed teachings, we are well-armed and equipped for the good fight.
